The Calderdale Magistrates Court in Halifax, England, was told Robert Jones, 43, was driving in the nearby town of Todmorden March 22 when his TomTom navigation system instructed him to drive down a dirt path leading to the cliff, The Sun reported Wednesday. SEPTEMBER 16, 2009 SHREVEPORT, La., Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Police in Louisiana said a man who attempted a traffic stop while impersonating an officer pulled over the mayor of his town. Investigators said Daniel Niederhelman, 21, used a red light mounted on his dashboard to pull over a car Monday, but got back into his Chevy Monte Carlo and drove away when he recognized the driver of the vehicle as Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover, the Shreveport Times reported Tuesday. I'd like to hear the story this guy tells the judge: "Look, your honor, I was emotionally damaged by Hurricane Katrina, so blame BUSH (!!).
